<br />.' <br /> <br />GRANT APPLICATION - PART 2 <br />GRANT CONDITIONS <br /> <br />Applicants for the Agricultural/Multipurpose Water System Water Conservation and Water Use <br />Efficiency Grant Program are subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Any agency or political subdivision of the State, user group or management group of an <br />agricultural water system or multipurpose water system operating in the State or individuals <br />or groups of individuals may apply for grant awards. <br /> <br />2. The amount of the grant request may not exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). <br />The grant recipient must provide matching funds. <br /> <br />3; The recipient of funds agrees to commence the work for which the grant funds are made <br />available within 6 months. <br /> <br />4. Failure to begin the project following receipt of an initial payment will authorize the State <br />to seek repayment of the grant funds on such terms and conditions as it may determine. <br /> <br />5. The recipient of funds agrees to develop and adhere to a schedule for State review of <br />project outputs to assure that the scope and extent of project results are completed as <br />scheduled. <br /> <br />6. The recipient of funds agrees to notify the State promptly of any problems encountered <br />during the project. Cost overruns wilJ be the responsibility of the grant recipient. <br /> <br />7. A portion (10%) of project grant funds will be withheld until final report completion and <br />acceptance of Final report documenting results. <br /> <br />8. The applicant agrees to provide a project administrator through its own agency. Project <br />supervision may be implemented by other sources. <br /> <br />9. The demonstration project must be completed in thirty months commencing from the date <br />of grant contract execution. <br /> <br />10.
