The application is <br />attached for your review. Castle Pines North Metropolitan District has a legal obligation to supply, <br />distribute, and provide water at retail rates to domestic, industrial, and public facility customers. The <br />District provides water supply and wastewater collection services to approximately 3,000 homes and 25 <br />commercial users. The District is not currently a covered entity; however they have provided necessary <br />projections that show that the entity will become a covered entity within the next 12 months. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting $20,000 to aid in the development of their Water Conservation Plan. The <br />Plan will be developed in accordance with the CWCB's Water Conservation Plan Development <br />Guidance Document. The guidance document will serve as a framework for the Plan's organization and <br />content. The applicant has demonstrated their financial ability to provide 25% ofthe project budget with <br />matching funds in the form of cash and in-kind services. Staffhas reviewed and evaluated the grant <br />proposal. Attached is the internal checklist used to evaluate the application as well as the application <br />evaluation criteria. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The OWCDP staff recommends that Rick Brown, Acting Deputy Director of, award a Water <br />Conservation Planning grant in the amount of $20,000 to Castle Pines North Metropolitan District for <br />development of their Water Conservation Plan. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
