Ute Water Service Area, Domestic Water Demand Projections, Pearse & Associates, July 1995; <br /> <br />Plateau Creek Pipeline Replacement Project, Final Environmental Impact Statement, prepared <br />for the Bureau of Land Management, prepared by Camp Dresser & Mckee Inc. and others, <br />February 1998. <br /> <br />Proiect Description: The District is proposing to replace its existing Plateau Creek Pipeline with <br />a new line from Jerry Creek Reservoirs to the Ute Water Treatment Plant near Palisade as shown <br />on the attached map. The preliminary design includes 11:3 miles of 48-inch diameter pipe and <br />4.1 miles of 54-inch diameter pipe. There are a total of 13 creek crossings and a new, 3,250-foot <br />long tunnel near the confluence of Plateau Creek and the Colorado River. Additional tunnel <br />options are presently under consideration. The project is currently under design by Camp Dresser <br />& Mckee. The first phase of construction is scheduled to begin in February 1999 and completion <br />is expected to take two years. <br /> <br />Total Estimated Cost: $35,255,000 <br /> <br />Existinl!: Authorization: SB-30 in 1988 for $8.0 million of which about $1.6 million has been <br />disbursed leaving a remaining balance of about $6.4 million for design and construction <br /> <br />Reauested Additional Fundiol!:: $9.60 million <br /> <br />. <br />
