J.. ","l. i
project. Cheri will be paramount in the development of conservation measures
that Town Council and constituents within the Town can adopt and abide by.
Wes LaVanchy is the Finance Director and will provide input on what the Town
can afford to do. Water conservation measures will impact Town funds from
reduced revenue from a reduction in water sales, but will potentially benefit the
Town financially by postponing system improvements, water right purchases, etc.
Wes will assist in the development of plans to address these issues as well as
work with the Consultants on what the Town can afford.
Julie Pasillas is in charge of billings. Julie has a good understanding of and
access to information such as water use per customer category and revenues
generated from each category. She will assist the Consultants in developing
past and current history of water sales and associated revenue, non-payment
and fines.
Julie Crowder is the Town Council member whose focus is water-related matters.
Julie will provide Board perspective throughout the project as we are developing
the plan and serve as the liaison between staff and Council. This will provide
efficiencies in Board input and approval at various aspects of the project.
3. The Town currently does not qualify as a covered entity. However, as can be
seen in Table 1, proTections are m-ade per customer category. For Residential,
growth was assumed at the current rates for the next few years and reduced to a
conservative estimate of 3% after 2007. For the other customer categories, an
estimate was made on projected new taps per year. The Town's total water use
will reach 2,000 ac-ft in 2008. There is a very good chance, considering the
potential development projects, that the Town's water use will exceed 2,000 ac-ft
in 2007. The Town will become a covered entity in a reasonable time period if
the grant money is awarded.
C:~e~r T~r\r/a~e;r R~t~~l~S') J3~r.
ao'i\'il o~. iFin~"tolle CWC8 Gnl~I!
