We
look forward to your partnership in our cooperative efforts to increase the productivity of
our water supplies. -
Our proposal requests $16,000 to complete our W~te.! Conservation Plan. The City
originally submitted its Plan in June 2005. However, the city received a letter from your
office requesting additional information on the submitted plan. This will require the
rehiring of a consultant. The City's 2006 budget does not provide for this additional cost.
The application provides the required information pursuant to the "Guidelines for Financial
Assistance", adopted on May 25,2005, by the Colorado Water Conservation Board.
The City of Northglenn began water conservation and drought migration efforts in 2001.
Over the past five years the City has successfully introduced many water-saving measures
and implemented programs that either require or encourage water conservation.
The City has been active in water conservation efforts in the metro area. The City's
mayor, Kathleen Novak, was the Co-Chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus Water
Committee.
Thank you for your interest in the City of Northglenn. We envision building upon our
previous successful conservation efforts with the completed Plan.
Le Ie Cullen
cting City Manager
Enclosure
