Colorado <br />llOO:!l <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Miller: <br /> <br />)()).430.2400 <br />F,\ X 303.650.1643 <br /> <br />The City's mission is to provide water to the citizens of Westminster, In <br />performing this mission, the City fully embraces the importance of water <br />conservation, water use efficiency and wise water use in the community's <br />efforts to manage the most precious water resource now and into the future, <br /> <br />The City of Westminster applauds the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />(CWCB) for developing, maintaining and administrating its water conservation <br />and water efficiency grant programs, and will continue to show support for <br />these important state programs into the future. In addition, the City recognizes <br />the importance of communications and teclmical assistance in helping to <br />promote and support more meaningful water conservation statewide, which is <br />the underlying goal of the CWCB grant programs. <br /> <br />The City believes that supporting conservation statewide will help improve <br />individual utiUties' water supply and in doing so improve water supply for the <br />state, <br /> <br />Westminster is prepared to offer in-kind resources of approximately $1,500 for <br />the project, which will include the hosting of technical workshops and water <br />conservation forums. <br /> <br />To help move water conservation forward, the City fully supports the project <br />being proposed by Western Resource Advocates (WRA) to the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board utilizing HB 05-1254 Grant Funds. Westminster strongly <br />encourages the CWCB and the Office of Water Conservation and Drought <br />Planning to consider the merits of the WRA grant application and award the <br />requested funds to this worthwhile and important program, which will benefit <br /> <br />l'rillled ('II rer'yd<'il paper <br />
