In addition, we recognize
the importance of communications and technical assistance in helping to promote and
support more meaningful water conservation statewide, which is the underlying goal of
the CWCB grant programs.

In many communities along Colorado's Front Range, water conservation efforts were
made after the drought of 2002.2003. Although we have seen positive results from these
efforts, there is still much that can be done and the biggest ~bstacles we face are
education and funding. With public forums and adequate funds for outreach, we can take
I
the steps necessary as a state to ensure a sustainable water future for all of Colorado.

To help move water conservation forward, our organization: fully supports the project
being proposed by Western Resource Advocates (WRA) to the Colorado Water
..Col1servati<;lnBoardutilizingHB 05-1~54 Grant Furids.
