In performing our mission, we fully embrace the importance of water conservation, water <br />use efficiency, and wise water use in our efforts to manage our most precious water resources now <br />and into the future. <br /> <br />We also recognize the importance of communications and technical assistance in helping to <br />promote and support more meaningful water conservation statewide. To this point, our <br />organization fully supports the project being proposed by Western Resource Advocates (WRA) to <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board utilizing lIB 05-1254 Grant Funds. <br /> <br />As a show of our support, we plan to contribute the use ofthe District's conference room for <br />meetings, lunch for the participants and staff time provided by our Conservation Outreach <br />Coordinator in support of the WRA grant application. Our contribution is valued at $450 for the <br />meeting facility, $500 for lunch and $400 for staff time. The total contribution will be $1350. <br />These resources will be used by WRA to help conduct workshops, and coordinate and facilitate <br />water conservation forums at locations throughout the state. <br /> <br />An integral part of our Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District's Water Management <br />and Conservation Plan is our Municipal Water Conservation Program. An objective of the <br />Program is to assist interested municipalities and water utilities in developing and improving water <br />conservation plans. The outreach program you propose concur with the objectives ofthe District's <br />Conservation Plan and will be a valuable resource for water managers in the southeastern <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />Our organization applauds the CWCB for developing, maintaining, and administrating its water <br />conservation and water efficiency grant programs, and we will continue to show our support for <br />these important state programs in the future.
