In
performing our mission, we fully embrace the importance of water conservation, water use
efficiency and wise water use in our community's efforts to manage our most precious water
resources now and into the future.

Our organization applauds the CWCB for developing, maintaining and administrating its
water conservation and water efficiency grant programs, and we will continue to show our
support for these important state programs into the future. In addition, we recognize the
importance of communications and technical assistance in helping to promote and support
more meaningful water conservation statewide, which is the underlying goal of the CWCB
grant programs.

While we do not anticipate needing the services proposed by the grant, we do support the
idea of helping our neighbors by sharing useful information. The conservation trai.nirlg
around the State will certainly help our near and distant neighbors. We will offer meeting
space for one training session at our Recycled Water Treatment Plant, and a tour following the
training if you like. We understand the training would be all day plus an additional half-day
. overview of the State's process which would be open to not only conservation professionals
but also their governing boards. We would provide lunch on one day and refreshments for
those attending the training at that site, and we would certainly provide the services of key
members of our Water Conservation staff to assist in anyway possible. These in-kind
contributions are valued at $500 for the meeting facility, $600 for the food if we assume 30
attendees, and at least $645 in staff time, assuming 12 hours of in-class time plus 3 hours of

~ ,", '-.
