To date, the Board has invested $5.5 million to finance a portion of Fort
Morgan's participation in the Southern Water Supply Project pipeline which originates at
Carter Lake and has been completed to the vicinity of Platteville (about 42 miles west of
Fort Morgan).

The total cost of the entire Fort Morgan water system replacement project is now
estimated at about $39 million. In addition to the $5.5 million Construction Fund loan,
Fort Morgan has obtained $2.5 million in financing from the Colorado Water Resources
& Power Development Authority and a commitment from USDA Rural Development for
a grant of $3.2 million and a loan of $4.8 million.
