The LWIC service area extends
from the Cache la Poudre diversion north of Fort Collins east to near the town of Galeton,
encompassing approximately 86,000 acres, 55,000 acres of which are irrigated farm land. The
Company has direct flow rights from their diversion in the Cache la Poudre River, and is also a
carrier ditch for reservoir water owned by their stockholders and stockholders in several other ditch
and reservoir companies, as well as CBT water owned by stockholders. Total water delivered
through the Larimer & Weld system averages approximately 90,000 acre-feet per year. The LWIC
is applying for an $1,000,000 Small Projects Loan from the Construction Fund to rehabilitate and
replace 10 check structures and install one new check structure. The existing check structures are
concrete structures ranging from 25 to 14 feet in width. The new checks will have automated, air.
operated Obermeyer gates to control the upstream water surface elevation. The estimated total
cost of the project is 51,286,612.

WELD

~,

Location Map

Page 6 of6
