During this .month and in September severe
electrical storms starting at the Colorado River and working west-
ward caused disturbances in the system, but the only prolonged
outage was one of 25 minntes.
In September, six 2,000-kva transformers were removed from
substations and transferred to the Intake pumping plant. In No-
vember, upon completion of San Jacinto excavation, six more sim-
ilar transformers became available completing the required number
at Intake, to which point also two 69-kv oil circuit breakers were
transfened from the Fan Hill substation for permanent use.
