Phase I involved locating and <br />mapping backwaters in the three reaches during late September. Phase II consisted of two 5-day field trips <br />to monitor ice fotmation and measure habitat avai1ability within backwaters. and One aerial survey to monitor <br />ice conditions in the study ares.
