Available sources of water are <br />prioritized to meet the demand schedule in the following order. <br /> <br />I. Arapahoe fonnation water within the district service area with an upper limit of 11 ]2.7 acre- <br />feet per year. Thcn Laramie Fox Hills fonnation water from within the service area is <br />developed with an upper limit of 747 acre-feet per year. <br />2. Return flows from treated effluent and lawn return flows are used at a rate of 40% of the <br />nontributary groundwater pumped up to a maximum of2500 acre-feet per year in 2015 and <br />3100 acre-feet per year in year 2025. While each successive use of reusable return flow <br />generates a furthcr 40% of that subsequent reuse, it is assumed that an 85% efficiency rate <br />will account for timing and other miscellaneous losses in subsequent reuse opportunities. For <br />this evaluation, it is therefore assumed that each unit of non tributary groundwater pumped <br />wi II generate a 40% reusable return flow amount. <br />3. Senior surface water rights up to a maximum of 327 acre-feet per year are used. <br />4. All unmet demands are met by nontributary groundwater imported from beyond the district <br />boundaries. Return flows are used to offset the total amount of imported nontributary <br />groundwater up to the limits of the nonpotable reuse system as identified in #2 above. <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />This water resources strategy assumes that full use is made of decreed Arapahoe and Laramie Fox <br />Hills nontributary groundwater under the district service area and that the maximum use is made <br />of return flows in the planned non potable reuse system. <br /> <br />J <br />
