.~.
C\1
"""

,- West Beaver Creek
-

In order to assess the opportunity for efficient operations, it is necessary to evaluate natural,
unregulated flow patterns. The only gage in the Beaver Creek Basin that records unregulated
flow is the West Beaver Creek gage. Further analysis of the diurnal flow patterns will
concentrate on records from this gaging station.

The sub-watershed that contributes to the West Beaver gage is oriented north-northeast and
has an elongated shape. The other sub-watersheds that are tributary to the Gurley Ditch have
similar shapes, slopes (8 . 14 percent), aspects (NW to NE) and elevation ranges (9000 to
11000 feet). For these reasons, the records from the West Beaver Creek gage are considered
to be representative of all the sub-watersheds that are tributary to the Gurley collection system.
Information regarding these sub-watersheds is presented in Table 5.

TABLE 5

SUB-WATERSHEDS OF THE GURLEY COLLECTION SYSTEM

Drainage
Elevation of Area Average
Sub-Watersheds Confluence ASDect (Sa.
