lHl3Hrl

-1991 Projections

Projections indicate that the C-BT
system will have almost 73.000
acre-teet more In storage 10 beglO
1991 than 10 1990. While this IS
encouraging It IS by no means cause
for celebration among waler users

Projections for Lake Granby ShOw
that there will be approximately
35.000 more acre-feel of water In
storage at the beginning at the water
season In 1991 than In 1990. Lake
Granby should be 8-, 0 feet higher In
elevation on April 1. 1991 than the
prevIous April. The mid-summer

peak shaul be about' 0 feet above
the high waler elevation of 1990.

In addition, Carter Lake is expected
to be up 14.000 at and Horsetooth
ReservOir up 24,000 at from their
April 1990 storage capacIties. With
normal deliveries and average
preClpltallon throughout the season,
Horselooth and Carter should end
the 1991 water year at near normal-
juS1 below 50 percent full.

The carryover program contributed to
this Increase as more water was left

In the CoST system at the end of the
year. Relatively low C.ST water
deliveries along With average runoff
also contributed to the increase in
storage.

The follOWing graphs chart the
storage levels In the C-ST"s main
storage reservOirs dunng the 1990
water delivery season, with projected
levels for 1991. The 1991 projections
are referred to as "most probable~
meaning they are based on normal
delivery patterns and normal
preCIpitatIOn throughout the year.

Lake Granby Horsetooth Reservoir Carter Lake
Pt'fcen!
