<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />. ,.,,, ',' <br />:Ji.."c " <br /> <br />SECTION IV - DETAILED OPERATIONAL STUDY <br /> <br />A monthly operational study of the diversions for Dow Pumping Plant and <br />Pipeline was conducted to determine the quantity and timing of depletions to <br />the Colorado River as a result of pumping the 15 cfs. The operational study <br />also shows the amount and timing of releases from Ruedi Reservoir which will <br />be required. Data from the operational study are summarized in Table 3. <br /> <br />The diversions for the Dow Pumping Plant and Pipeline will be 100 percent <br />consumptively used and depletions will equal diversions. <br /> <br />Using Table E-1 of the 1977 CORSIM II simulation study for the years 1941- <br />1970 ("Dow Pumping Plant and Pipeline Monthly Direct Diversion Yields"), the <br />periods were identified when the pipeline diversion would be called out and <br />replacement water for the Dow diversion required. The timinq and amount at <br />the Dow diversion pOint of those replacement requirements are shown in <br />Column 3 of Table 3. <br /> <br />As indicated above, the operational study assumes a river loss of 5 percent, <br />and thus the replacement requirement at the Dow diversion point is 95 per- <br />cent of Ruedi releases. The required releases and the timing of those <br />releases are shown in Column 4 of Table 3, and the amount of water lost to <br />the river is shown in Column 5 of Table 3. <br /> <br /> <br />(11) <br />
