Project, Board Meeting January 15, 1969.

Under date of October 14, 1968, the Regional Director of
Region 4, Bureau of Reclamation, forwarded to us copies of his
proposed feasibility report on the Yellow Jacket Project. The
report was submitted to us for our informal review and comment
prior to the report being submitted to the Secretary of the In-
terior. Upon receipt of the report we transmitted it to other
interested state agencies and to the Yellow Jacket Water Conser-
vancy District. We have just recently received the comments of
the district.

The Yellow Jacket Project would encompass two principal
areas for development - one along Milk Creek in the Yampa River
drainage, and the other along White River near Meeker. The White
River segment would serve 15,740 acres of land with a full water
supply and 2,000 acres with a supplemental supply. The Milk Creek
segment would serve 4,180 acres with a full supply and 1.690 acres
with a supplemental supply.

The project would make an average of 117,200 acre-feet
of water available annually at the various points of diversion.
It is estimated that the project would deplete the flow of the
Colorado River by an average of 46,700 acre-feet of water annually.
Of this total depletion, 28,100 acre-feet would be chargeable to
irrigation, 18,200 acre-feet to municipal and industrial uses, and
400 acre-feet to miscellaneous purposes.

The total cost of the project, based upon January 1968
prices, is estimated at $48,167,000. Total annual benefits are
estimated at $2,906,100. The benefit-cost ratio, based upon a
