~
''''''~
,;}:,'J~
.'>i:;.-W

the loss of 1.7 acres of type 1,2 and 3 wetlands with a value of
0.37 WUV's. However, 25.2 acres of wetlands are planned for
construction on upland sites. projected cumulative WUV's for
these wetlands are 14.1. ,These constructed wetlands will

predominantly be type 3,4 and 5. Therefore, a net gain of 13.73

WUV's and 23.5 acres of wetland should occur.

An additional 55 acres of existing type 1,2 and 9 wetlands

will be enhanced. Improvements will be in the form of fencing to

exclude livestock and adding to the overall diversity of the

wetland system by blowing potholes or excavating shallow water
areas. within these 55 acres approximately 3.4 acres of open
water mixed with aquatic and emergent vegetation (type 3,4, and 5
wetland) will replace the sedge, rush and saltgrassvegetation
050 (type 1,2 and 9 wetland) that presently exists. We should gain

6.56 WUV's through these improvements. Insurnmary, for planned
condition of wetlands created on upland sites and enhancement of
existing wetlands we are projecting a net gain of 20.29 WUV's.

wetland Impacts - Applied

A loss of 1.6 acres of wetland type 1,2 and 3 with a WUV of

0.36 has occurred to date. A total of 1.3 acres of wetlands type
3,4 and 5 with a WUV of' 0.73 have been developed on upland sites.
An existing 1.9 acre type 9 wetland has been enhanced for a net
gain of 0.19 WUV's.

Habitat Evaluation

Of the 84 contracts, 61 have been covertyped and ana lysed

I
J
