Preliminary re~~sance report investigations, - Investi-
gations made in connection with the. pre~iminary reconnaissance report
consisted of a general reconnaissance, with a view toward determining the
flood control needs of the area in the city of Trinidad subject to inun-
dation from floods originating in Pinon' Canon, The investigations in-
cluded an analysis of the flood damages, engineering design of structures,
estimates of cost, and an analysiS of the economic justification of the
plan ,of improvement. These investigations were preliminary in scope in-
'asmuch as the report was prepared to indicate the probability of develop-
ing a desirable pro'ject within the intept and limits of the authoriiw.

.

, 2-02 .
