ASSIGNMENT OF WORK (Cont'd)

Minerals and Geology.

a. Statement: Investigation of this subject will be made as
follows:

(1) A brief resume of geology of the area will be prepared,
complete with maps and will include statements.

(a) Showing relationship of minsral resources and geology,
and with all forms of human developments.

(b) Need for geologic data as the busis of understanding
all problems of hydrology, soil erosion, minerals, sedimentation, soils,
etc.

(c) Discussion concerning present status of geologic

knowledge.

(d) Plan for completing geologic knowledge as related to
basin development.

(2) A study will be made of the mineral resources of the area
composing the three basins for the purpose of ascertaining the location
and potential importance of the mineral resources of the area.

(a) A mineral mall will be llrellared showing .the location
of the various mineral resources.

(b) Descriptive data accompanying the map will be pre-
pared giving specific information concerning the deposits and their
potential. (Detailed county by county mineral potential survey in-
cluded as time permits).

(c)
