ASSIGNMENT OF WORK (Cont'd) <br /> <br />Mapping. <br /> <br />a. Statement: <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />(1) A plan for mapping inadequately mapped areas for the AWR <br />studies will be prepared as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Existing maps, as inventoried by the Mapping Sub- <br />committee, AvIRBIAC, will be reviewed and evaluated for adequacy. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(b) Map requirements over that determined to exist will <br />be referred to the AWR Map Center, U. S. Geological Survey, Department <br />of the Interior, P. O. Box 61, Tulsa, Oklahoma, for verification of <br />their nonexistence and for determination of the possibility of combin- <br />ing the mapping with requirements of other agencies; <br /> <br />(c) Specifications will be prepared for mapping or re- <br />mapping those areas in need thereof. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(d) Priorities for mapping will be established. <br />(e) A mapping schedule will be prepared. <br /> <br />(2) A section of the AWR Report showing the status of map- <br />ping, need for additional mapping and proposed program in the three- <br />basin area will be prepared. <br /> <br />b. Assignment: Department of the Interior (U. S. Geological <br />. Survey) <br /> <br />c. Assisting Agencies: States, Corps of Engineers, Agriculture, <br />Commerce (USC & GS). <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />d. Time of Completion: <br /> <br />e. Disposition: New mapping performed in a(l) to be retained <br />in the working files of the respective agencies to support those data <br />contained in sections of the report.
