COORDlNATING PROCEDURE (CON'l"D) Department of Agriculture In order to effectively accanplish the work in agriculture and to in. sure coordination of that work, the following organization and procedure is proposed: The work of the U. S. Department of Agriculture will be done in re- gional and state offices of the respective agencies to the max:llnum exWnt poesible. There will be established in Tulsa a ElIlIall coordinating grQUP of USDA personnel which will consist mainly of members of the USDA Field CCIIlIIIittee. This group will serve in an advisory capacity to the Secre- tary's representative on the A\offi Basins Inter-Agency Ccmnittee, as a coordinating group on the agricultural work, and individually as work leaders on various aspects of the work. The states are invited. to coord.inate their agricultural work in QOn- nection with the A\offi study by assigning such technical personnel as they may wish to work with USDA technical personnel on various aspects of the study. Likewise, Federal members of the A\offi Basins Inter-Agency Com- mittee are invited. to make s:llnilar arrangements. Work leaders or cha~en have been deaigpated for various phases of the work. These leaders will be responsible for coordinating the work of various agencies of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. They will also assist the Secretary's representative in coordinating this work with the work of the states and. Federal departments. For the most part, these chairmen consist of members of the USDA Field Committee. Following is a list of the work categories, together with the de- partmental agency participation in each categoI"'J: Conservation and Improvement of Fann and Range Lande.
