The thickness is approximately 150
feet.

o Burro Canyon Format1on--buff-coiored sandstone~ generally
iron stained, with greenish siltstone and mudstone. The
thickness varies from 50 to 120 feet due to the erosional
contact with the overlying Dakota sandstone.

o Morrison Formation-Brushy Basin Member--mainly red,
green, brown, purple, and grey-white siltstone and
mudstone. It contains some bentonite beds and a few
lenses of white to brown sandstone-and limestone. The
thickness is generally between 260 and 340 feet.

o Morrison Formation-Salt Wash Member--this is very similar
to the Brushy Basin Member, except that it contains
lenticular sandstone beds in the lower part and thin beds
of dove white limestone. The thickness is generally
between 40 and 60 feet.

o Summerville Formation--red, green, grey, purple, and
brown mudstone and siltstone, with persistent thin beds
of hard sandstone, some with ripple marks. The thickness
varies between 40 and 60 feet.

o Entrada Sandstone--white to grey evenly bedded fine
grained sandstone, with some ripple marks and salmon to
pink colored fine grained generally cross bedded
sandstone. These generally contain scattered grains of
medium to coarse grained sand (Slick Rock Member). The
thickness varies between 60 and 200 feet.

o Kayenta Formation--medium to coarse grained highly
lenticular hard sandstone with some lenses of red to
purple siltstone and mudstone and some lenses of
conglomerate and conglomeratic sandstone. The thickness
varies between 0 and 127 feet, the cause of this being
the erosional contact with the overlying Entrada
sandstone.

o

Wingate Sandstone--consists of thick beds of salmon
buff fine grained generally cross bedded sandstone.
thickness varies between 215 and 370 feet.

to
The

o Chinle Formation--a red siltstone containing a few thin
lenses of greenish limestone or limestone conglomerate.
The thickness varies between 80 and 120 feet.

-,
