<br />Navajo Reservoir <br />(San Juan River) <br /> <br /> <br />Skiing Navajo Reservoir. <br /> <br />WaterYear 1981 <br />During the first part of water year 1 981. a <br />minimum 530 'PIs was released tor <br />consumptive use and maintenance of fish and <br />wildlife, <br /> <br />The April-July 1981 inflow was 320.000 acre- <br />feel, which is 45 percent of Ihe long-term <br />average. During the water year, the maximum <br />inflow of 3,670 f1"s occurred on June 11, <br /> <br />At the beginning of the water year, the <br />reservoir elevalion was 6.075 feet. 11 gradually <br />was drawn down to 6.050 feet prior to the <br />spring runoff. The water surface reached its <br />highest elevation of 6,060 feet during June <br />1981, <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />Water Year 1982 <br />On September 30, 1981. Navajo Reservoir <br />stored 1 ,248,000 acre-feet of water at an <br />elevation of 6.052 leet, Assuming average <br />inflow for water year 1982, the projected <br />elevation before snowmelt runoH begins is <br />6,050 feet with a content of 1 ,221 ,000 acre- <br />feet. By July 1982. the reservoir is expected to <br />reach an elevation of 6,074 feet with a content <br />of 1,534.000 acre-feet.
