The pre-
Taylor and pre-Aspinall data was generated by
removing the influence of operation of Taylor
Park Reservoir and the Aspinall Unit to
represent what flows would have been without
these developments. The post-Aspinall data
shows how the Aspinall Unit has been
operated--to capture and store high spring
runoff flows for release throughout the year.
This has resulted in higher flows in most
months of the year, but high spring runoff

flows in late April, May, June, and early July
were lessened.

The proposed contract will consider
delivering water stored in Blue Mesa
Reservoir to the Monument to more closely
follow the pre-Aspinall and pre-Taylor Park
seasonal distribution of t10ws (the natural
hydrology). This would mean that higher
t10ws would be released in late April through
early July, with lower t10ws released in the
win teL

6
