During construction of the dam the 88sthcticR of the rcscrvoi~

basin would be altered by excavation of borrow materials. Th"se

construction activities and temporary rOdds in the reservoir h.asin

would frighten wildlife from the area as 10/e.11- as domestic livestock.

Temporary increased turbidity of the stream I.ould also occur at thes

time despite efforts to. keep it to a l;'linirnum. These short-term uses

of the environment are necessary to create the long-term proouctivity

associated with the potential reservoir, Recreation and fishing

opportunities would be available for this and future generations.
