Datum of gage is 7,980.25 ft above mean sea level, datum of <br />1929. Prior to May 16, 1908, staff gage at site 4 miles downstream. Records are equivalent. <br />Drainaqe area.--l,320 sq mi, approximately. <br />Averaqe discharqe.--91 years (1890-1980), 898 ft3/s (650,600 acre-ft per year). <br />Extremes.--1889-1980: Maximum discharge{ 18,000 ft3/s Oct. 5, 1911 (gage height, 6.80 ft), from <br />rating curve extended above 12,900 ftj/s; minimum daily, 69 ft3/s Aug. 21, 1902. <br />Remarks.--Records good except those for winter months, which are fair. Flow regulated by four <br />reservoirs, total capacity 126,100 acre-ft. and by several smaller ones.
