Revenues

during fiscal year 1967 were more than adequate to meet Storage Project

O&M :costs and paid more than 85% of the annual interest charge. Progress

on CRSP marketing and revenue buildup is satisfactory for the short period

of power operations and well within the project repayment schedule for

this buildup phase.

During the l2 months ended June 30, 1967, the Storage Project supplied

all the energy deficiency losses at Hoover Dam resulting from the filling

of Upper Basin reservoirs. During that period, deficiencies were reduced

to about 685 million kilowatt-hours compared with about 900 million

kilowatt-hours during the l2-month period ending July l, 1966. It appears

that during the 1967-68 winter, we will also be able to replace Hoover

deficiencies from Storage Project generation.

CRSP RESERVOIRS

Our annual problem of trying to outguess the snowmelt runoff in advance

is now over, and the runoff in the Upper Basin for the April-July period

was about 6,045,000 AF or about 71% of the longtime average for this

period. We estimate that the total runoff for the water year which ends

on September 30, 1967, will be about 9,357,000 AF or about 75% of the long-

time average. The accounting for this total is about as follows:

Acre-feet

Storage increase
Evaporation losses
Bank storage losses
Releases to Lower Basin
Total supply

848,000
292,000
482,000
7,735,000
9,357,000

It is apparent, therefore, that the runoff this year was slightly greater

6
