Conversely, the chronic toxicity of <br /> <br />cadmium and zinc to aquatic species that are susceptible to bioaccumulation of cadmium and zinc might be <br /> <br />increased downstream from Lake Creek due to the larger percentage of dissolved Cd and Zn that exists as the more <br /> <br /> <br />toxic free cations. With respect to aquatic-life toxicity, it is unclear if the dilutional effects of inflow from Lake <br /> <br /> <br />Creek offset the effect that Lake Creek has on Cd and Zn speciation at Grnnite and Buena Vista.
