3. Robinson Creek, Oklahoma. Lincoln County. Purpose is to
provide watershed protection, flood prevention and municipal water
supply for a drainage area of 40,320 acres (63 sq. miles) by in-
stalling multipurpose structures and implementing land treatment
measures. Authorized for planning 12-19-73 with planning twenty
percent complete.

4. Turkey Creek, Oklahoma. Alfalfa, Major, Garfield and
Kingfisher counties. Purpose is to provide watershed protection
and flood prevention for a drainage area of 239,000 acres (373
sq. miles) by installing retarding structures and land treatment
measures. Authorized for planning 5-22-75.

5. Hoyle Creek, Oklahoma. Major County. Purpose is to pro-
vide watershed protection and flood prevention on a drainage area
of 36,768 acres (52 sq. miles) by installing floodwater retarding
8 true tures.

Soil Conservation Service - Resource Conservation and Develop-
ment Projects:

1. Ouachita Mountain Area, Oklahoma. Haskell, Pittsburg,
Latimer, LeFlore, Pushmataha, McCurtain and Choctaw counties.
(See Map 2) The purpose is to expand the economic opportunities
for the people of an area consisting of 5,366,552 acres (8,338 sq.
miles) by developing and carrying out a plan of action for the
orderly conservation, improvement, development and wise use of
all their natural and human resources. USDA assistance to sponsors
authorized 1-12-70. Planning of a number of hydrologic units is
completed.
