<br />o <br />(:.J <br />N <br />~ <br />(.Q <br />"'"'" <br /> <br />II <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />At present, water supplies are badly needed in some sec- <br />tions of the state, particularly the north, west and southwest. <br />Immediate action is needed to allow continued economic growth. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Water quality, fish and wildlife and environmental preserva- <br />tion are not problems to be solved, but are continuing concerns to <br />be considered along with every proposal. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />are: <br /> <br />Public Law 83-566 Program. Issues addressed in these studies <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. Flood Control <br />2. Water Supply <br />3. Environmental Preservation <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Environmental needs must be considered in the formulation <br />of a solution to any problem, and must then be evaluated with <br />relation to benefits. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />In each of the cited study areas, flood problems have been <br />identified. For this reason, immediate solutions are desired. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Water supply capacity is incorporated into P.
