S. Gealagical Survey, Water Resaurces Div:lsian, is presently <br /> <br /> <br />operating 4 streamflaw statians within the baundaries .of the Grand <br /> <br /> <br />Valley praject area. Of these, 3 measure inflaw 1:.0 the area <br /> <br /> <br />(Ca1arada River near Camea, Plateau Creek near Camea, Gunnisen <br /> <br /> <br />River near Grand Junctian) , and 1 (Calorada River near Calarada- <br /> <br /> <br />Utah State line) measures the autflaw. Water-quality infarmatian <br /> <br /> <br />is .obtained at all 4 .of the statians. Since March 1972, cantinuaus <br /> <br /> <br />recards .of water temperature and specific canductance have been <br /> <br /> <br />.obtained at a site an the Calarada River at Westwater, Utah, <br /> <br /> <br />abaut 10 miles dawnstream fram the State-line streamflow statian. <br /> <br />Chemical-quality recards far the Calarada River near Cameo and <br /> <br /> <br />Gunn1sen River near Grand Junctian date back ta the early <br /> <br /> <br />1930's. Only periadic data a~e available far the Plateau Creek <br /> <br /> <br />near Camea statian priar ta 1972, and because .of :lna'ccessibility, <br /> <br /> <br />the same is true far the State-line statian an the Calarada <br />. <br /> <br />River. Daioy abservatians of water temperature and specific <br />canductance are naw being .obtained at all 3 infla\7 statians. <br />Available records .of chemical analyses are published in Part 2, <br />Water Resources Data far Calarada.
