The <br />population within the wate~shed is 74% White, 24% Hispanic, and <br />2% othe~ with an average age of 34. The average age of a <br />Colorado resident is 29. The November 1994 unemployment rate for <br />. <br />Bent and Prowe~s, CO was 4% which compares with 3.5% for <br />Colorado. The median house value for the watershed is $32,700 <br />compared to the state median value of $82,700. <br /> <br />Nearly all the wetlands are along the Arkansas River, the creeks, <br />and d~ains. There will be no net loss of wetland values. <br /> <br />Flood Plains: The floodplain along the Arkansas River <br />will not be significantly affected by the <br />project. <br /> <br />Highly erodible cropland: <br /> <br />There are 44,500 acres of HEL <br />lands in the watershed. <br /> <br />Endangered Species - known <br />Black-Footed Fer~et, <br />Bald Eagle, Whooping <br />Piping Plover, Least <br />Eskimo Curlew <br /> <br />range for the following: <br /> <br />Crane <br />Tern <br /> <br />Cultural Resources <br />Sites* <br />1.
