SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
ON
PRELIMINARY ALTERNATIVES
PRESENTEO AT PUBLIC MEETINGS APRIL 1, 2 AND 4, 1991

GLEN CANYON DAM ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT

The Colorado River Studies Office New~letter, Volume 3, March 1991, provides
a summary description of the ten preliminary alternatives under consideration.
Due to space limitations it was not pOSSible in the newsletter to include many
of the graphs used in the verbal presentation at the publiC meetings.
Therefore, this packet of supplemental information has been prepared to help
the reader get a better understanding of how the preliminary alternatives
may operate.

Most of the information herewith is in the form of graphs depicting water
release patterns for various alternatives and various hydrologic conditions.
Please keep in mind that the graphs are examples to depict the. concepts
involved and that they do not show the entire set of possibilities.

If you have specific questions or comments on the supplemental information,
please send them in writing to the Colorado River Studies Office, U.S. Bureau of
Reclamation, UC-1500, P.O. Box 11568, Salt Lake City, Utah 84147. Your questions
will be referred to the appropriate technical specialist for response, and your
comments can be considered by the environmental impact statement team.

.
~

.

.
~

,

<

if

,
.
.

.)

~

.
~
~
~
~ ~
:~
