<br />o <br />'::::J <br />~ <br />-l <br />....- <br />o <br /> <br />1 January 1952 <br /> <br />AWRBIAC PROCEDURE GUIDE <br /> <br />The skills and records of the Fuels Technology, Helium, <br />Accident Prevention and Health, and Economice divisions will be <br />available to the Mine~als Tecrulology division in accomplishing its <br />work. .Coordin~tion will be through the Regional Office at Amarillo. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Mines activities in Colorado and New Mexico are <br />under the jurisdiction of the Regional Director ~t Denver. Coordina- <br />tion of activities in that area will be arranged through the Regional <br />Office at Amarillo. <br /> <br />NATIONAL PARK Sl'RVICE <br /> <br />The Region Three Office, Santa Fe, New Mexico, is responsible <br />for the recreational and archeological studies in the AWR Basins. <br />It will coordinate with State and Feder~l agencies arid integrate <br />their interests. It will act for the Region One' and Region Two <br />offices of the National Pa=k Service in t~e'portions of their regions <br />included in the AWR Basine. <br /> <br />The Regional Office has Departmental approval to work direct <br />with the field forces of the other participating agencies. <br /> <br />BUREAU OF RECLAMATION <br /> <br />To ineure proper coordination of all Bureau of Reclamation AWR <br />activities and to obtain tile maximum possible integration of Bureau <br />of Reclamation AWR actions, the Bureau of Reclamation has established <br />an office in Tulsa in conjunction with the Department. of, the Interior <br />AWR Office with Mr. William S. Gookin, Special Assistant Regional <br />Planning Engineer, in charge. Any problems consid'ered to be of concern <br />to the Bureau of Reclamation should be referred either to Mr. Gookin <br />or to t~e appropriate _~ea Engineer. In general, liaison with the <br />States and the other Federal agencies at field level will continue to <br />be h~dled by the following: <br /> <br />1. Area Planning Engineer, Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the <br />New Mexico portion of the AWR area. <br /> <br />2. Area Engineer, Pueblo, Colorado, for the watershed of the <br />ArY.ansas River above Ellin;Tood, Kansas. <br /> <br />3.
