They include: <br />--vegetation in the' canyon bottom <br />--fisb and fish habilat <br />--aquatic fauna other than fish <br />--wildlife (bighorn sheep, river otter, beaver and other riparian species) <br />--wilderness characteristics <br />~yon bottom. characteristics (banks and beaches) <br />--maintenance of stream channel and bottom characteristics <br />--sediment transport <br />--removing signs of human use and camp renewal each year within the designated <br />wilderness <br />--canyon access and recreational opportunities <br />--visual quality <br />--water quality <br />--avian species (eagles, peregrines, waterfowl, etc.) <br /> <br />~~~~:~:)~ ;~~ <br /> <br />3a. The following values <br />should be added to the list: <br />~-the sound of the river as heard by visitors on the canyon rim <br />--suitability of the river for Wild River designation <br />--archeology and other cultural resources <br />--endangered species (including bald eagles that winter along tbe Gunnison river) <br />--scientific values (e.g., ecological studies) <br /> <br />14a.
