001514

"

Public Scoping dimments, Gunnison River Contract, cent.

19. CLARK; pl,'13. For emphasis, I would restate the observation that work is proceeding on many,
programs, policies, contracts, and other actions all of which can potentially affect the operations of the
Wayne N. Aspinall Unit. They all need to be identified and their implications discussed in the EIS for
the contract.

22. CLARK; pI, '14. Specific consideration in this EIS sbould be given to implications upon the Aspinall
Unit's operations from possible program and management changes being addressed currently in two
EIS's under preparation by the Western Area Power Authority and one being prepared by the Bureau
of Reclamation on the operation of the Glen Canyon Dam. It would perhaps be most useful if these
four EIS projects were conducted concurrently.

11. CLARK; pI ,'15. It would be helpful in this EIS to fully set out the current, alternative, and proposed
operating principals of the Aspinall Unit.

22. CLARK; pI ,'16. Publication ofa "newsletter" for the EIS process, as has been done by the Colorado
River Studies Office for the Glen Canyon EIS Project, would be a helpful means for keeping interested
individuals and organizations appraised of the progress of the project.

36

':?I;f;::'

._.N,,~ "
,:~.::~:;~!f?~j
::-;..-.:;:..

. ,
.. :'~.:.' ~;.
