No unusual incidents occurred in connection with
maintenance of telephone service.

powc/, retiOllrCeS aHd 1lse

The District has, until May 31, 1987, the right to the use of two
82,500-kilowatt generators at Hoover Dam, units N5 and N6, and
an option on a third 82,500-kilowatt generator, unit N7. It also owns
the perpetual right to the use and benefit of two 25,OOO-kilowatt gen-
erating units installed in the powerhouse at Parker Dam. together
with the right to utilize for the production of power slightly less
than half of the water passing Parker Dam. The total of 297.500
kilowatts of a\.ailable generating capacity will provide an annual
energy supply from the two plants of at least 1.675 milliun kilowatt-
hours. This is sufficient energy to pump 800,000 acre-feet annually
through the aqueduct lift of 1.617 feet, with ample generating capac-
ity to drive eight pumps in each plant for peak pumping demands.
All of the District's allocation of 35.2517 per cent of Hoover Dam
firm energy must be taken or paid for by the District.
