I. Meeker, as of 1919-1920); "in New Mexioo 5,000 aores".

"There are 50,000 acres susoeptible of irrigation from the La
Plata in Colorado and many thousand aores in New Mexioo similarly
situated, but the present problem deals only with an attempt to
provide additional water for the present irrigated aoreage".

Water Supply (page 3)

"The mean run-off recorded at Hesperus from 1918 to 1931 inc.
has been 37.000 A.F.," - not including divisions above Hesperus
(3,000 A.F.), "thus making the total 40,000 acre-feet" (from 37
square-miles of drainage area).

Low year of record 1931, rlm-01'f 15,300 A.F,; high year
1920, run-off 58,100 A.F.

Aval.1able Storage Supply (page 4)

"A study of day to day supply at Hesperus 1918-1927, and demands
below that point discloses that 12,100 A.F. could have been delivered
for storage"; - - - to make this amount available requires relieving
the stream of New: Mexico demands, which can be done by cOllserVing the
seepage and flood-flow of the lower stream near the State line.

Without interfering with direct use from November 1 to March 31
of each non-irrigation season, the stream flow at the interstate line
(12 yr. average 7,640 A.F.) could be stored.
