<br />, "'.1 <br />',,' <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />o <br />o <br />C-' <br />.~ <br />c.o <br />00 <br /> <br /> <br />PREFACE <br /> <br />This Special Flood Plain Information Report presents the <br />results of a flood plain study of the Big Thompson River and <br />tributaries in unincorporated Larimer County. The study limits <br />begin above Loveland, Colorado, near Mariana Butte and extend <br />to Lake Estes near Estes Park on the main stream and to above <br />Glen Haven, Colorado, on the North Fork. The report was <br />prepared, following the disastrous flood of July 31, 1976, to <br />assist the local officials with the redevelopment effort in the <br />canyon. <br /> <br />The report was prepared at the request of the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board, Larimer County, Colorado and the <br />Federal Insurance Administration, by Gingery Associates, Inc., <br />Consulting Engineers of Englewood, Colorado. <br /> <br />The report consists of two volumes as described below: <br /> <br />Volume I Report narrative, flood elevation <br />tabulation, Flooded Areas index maps <br />Volume II - Flooded Areas index maps, Flooded Areas <br />maps, Flood Profile charts, illustrated <br />cross-sections. <br /> <br />The Flooded Areas maps depict the 100-year flood plain and the <br />floodway. The flood profile charts show the 10-, 50-, 100- <br />and 500-year flood profiles. <br /> <br />The Flooded Areas maps may be updated at a later date <br />if there are significant changes within the areas adjacent to <br /> <br />Hi <br />
