<br />The development and implementation of mitigation
<br />measures was an integral part of preparing the
<br />Biological Opinion issued on June 15, 1987, The
<br />selected mitigation measures are discussed in
<br />a new section (Section 4.1.2.3) in the Final
<br />Supplement. The cost of these mitigation
<br />measures will be dependent on the negotiated
<br />cost per acre-foot of water to be sold in Round
<br />II. Essentially, the cost of the mitigation
<br />measures will be equal to the cost of 10,000 AF
<br />of water, plus the labor and expenses necessary
<br />to conduct three years worth of fisheries
<br />investigations on the Colorado River.
