<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />OO~Ulb <br /> <br />REPORT ON <br />WATER RUNOFF AND STREAM DEPLETION <br />of the <br />YAMPA RIVER BASIN IN COLORADO <br /> <br />I N T ROD U C T ION <br /> <br />Scope and Purpose <br /> <br />This report presents information on watershed run- <br /> <br />off and stream depletion for the Yampa River Basin in Colorado. <br /> <br /> <br />The information was compiled from independent reconnaissance <br /> <br />study, cooperative river basin studies with the Department <br /> <br />of Agriculture under the leadership of the Soil Conservation <br /> <br />Service and from analysis of the work of other Federal and <br /> <br />State Agencies. A Department of Agriculture report entitled <br /> <br />"Water and Related Land Resources - Yampa River Basin in <br /> <br />Colorado and Wyoming" is being prepared by the Soil Conser- <br /> <br />vation Service. <br /> <br /> <br />The purpose of the study and this report is the <br /> <br /> <br />presentation of basic water supply data and an analysis of <br /> <br />the same in terms of the present use and the anticipated <br /> <br />future water requirements of the basin. From time to time <br /> <br />the information reported will require refinement and adjust- <br /> <br /> <br />ment as basin development moves forward. <br /> <br />Information on watershed area, origin of runoff <br /> <br />1 <br />
