<br />Federal agencies involved in the initial consultation
<br />for the proposal were the Bureau of Reclamation
<br />(BOR), National Park Service (NPS) and Bureau
<br />of Land Management (BLM) , The Colorado
<br />Water Conservation Board (CWCB) represented
<br />interests of th'e State of Colorado, The public
<br />asked that the role of v'arious agencies involved in
<br />NEP A compliance be defined (lead vs, cooperating
<br />agencies) and other agencies be involved, Public
<br />involvement opportunities should be explained for'
<br />, '
<br />the NEP A, decision-making and contract
<br />development processes.
<br />
<br />The BOR and NPS will be joinHead agencies
<br />, for NEP A compliance on the contract proposal.

<br />In response to comments,more agencies are
<br />cooperating in the NEPA analysis. Federal
<br />cooperating agenCies now, include the Fish and
<br />Wildlife Service (FWS) and WesterriArea Power
<br />Administration as well as BLM, ' The interests of
<br />the State of Colorado will be coordinated by the,
<br />Colorado Department of Natural Resources on
<br />behalf of t\1e CWCB, Colorado Division of
<br />Wildlife, Colorado Division of Water Resources
<br />'and the Attorney General. Cooperators'
<br />'representing local water users are the Colorado
<br />River Water Conservation District, the Upper
<br />Gunnison River Water Conservancy District, and
<br />the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association.

<br />To assist involved agencies in addressing the
<br />public's input, all of the comments received have
<br />been analyzed, grouped, and sumrnarizedunder 22
<br />categories of issues 'and concerns which are '
<br />contained,in the March 1993 "Scoping Report for"
<br />,the Gunnison River Contract." '
<br />
<br />The report may be reviewed at public libraries in
<br />Delta, Gunnison, Mesa, and Montrose' Counties,
