Storage Units Curecanti Flaming Gorge Glen Canyon Navajo COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT AND PARTICIPATING PROJECTS LEGISLATIVE AUTHORIZATION AND REPORT REQUIREMENTS The Colorado River Storage Project and eleven participating projects were authorized by the Act of April 11, 1956 (70 Stat. 105); the San Juan Chama and Navajo Indian Irrigation Participating Projects were authorized by the Act of June 13, 1962 (76 Stat. 96); and the Bostwick Park, Fruitland Mesa, and Savery-Pot Hook Participating Projects 'Jere authorized by the Act of September 2, 1964 (78 Stat. 852). Section 6 of the authorizing act stipulates that on January 1 of each year the Secretary of the Interior shall report to the Congress for the previous fiscal year upon the status of revenues from, and the cost of, constructing, operating, and maintaining the Colorado River Storage Project and participating projects. The Secretary I s report shall be prepared to reflect accurately the Federal investment allocated at that time to power, to irrigation, and to other purposes, the progress of re- turn and repayment thereon, and the estimated rate of progress, year by year, in accomplishing full repayment. Construction deferred indefinitely as suggested in Senate subcommittee appropriation hearings for F.Y. 1962.
