At the present time the reservoir is at rated head eleva- tion 7,438 and extends approximately 18 miles upstream from the dam. storage amounts to 360,627 acre-feet. It is anticipated that the reservoir storage will be reduced gradually between now and the flood season next year, reaching a minimum water content of 325,000 acre- feet and a water elevation of 7,430 in March of 1967. When the reser- voir is full the water surface elevation will be 7,519 with a length of 24 miles. Capacity at that elevation will be 940,755 acre-feet. construction at Morrow Point Dam has passed the halfway mark with the contractor showing 58% completion on July 3.1. A total of 182,000 cubic yards of concrete has been placed, and the highest block of concrete is about 260 feet above the lowest bedrock. Dur- ing July 33,246 cubic yards of concrete were placed. All excavation work in the underground powerplant has been completed and 2,000 cubic yards of concrete have been placed in the structure. Construction on the SILT PROJECT is well advanced. The dam is 70% complete and the dam and road will be completed on schedule early in 1967. Advance planning Advance planning on the FRUITLAND MESA PROJECT is proceed- ing on schedule with the definite plan report anticipated in December of 1966. If funds are appropriated construction will start in fiscal year 1968. All advance planning for the BOSTWICK PARK PROJECT has been completed. plans and specifications for the Silver Jack reservoir dam have been prepared, and bids will be opened in Mont- rose, Colorado, on September 8, 1966.
