<br />Location.--Water_stage recorder, lat 37'41' 22", long 106'27' 38", in NII\ sec. 29, T. 40 N.,
<br />R. 5 E., on right bank, 20 ft downstream from county highway bridge, 5 miles upstream
<br />from Pinos Creek, and 6 miles west of Del Narte. Datum of gage 1s 7,980.25 ft above
<br />mean sea level, datum of 1929. Prior to May 16, 1908, staff gage at site q miles down-
<br />stream. Records are equivalent.

<br />Remarks.--Records excellent except ror some winter months, which are r.ir. Flow regulated by
<br />four reservoirs, total capacity 126,100 acre-ft, and by several smaller ones. Six
<br />transmountain diversions import water into basin above station.
