The

propositicn for these studies was that Kansas would receive only three-

fourths of the amount diverted by the Colorado.ditches at ti~es of reser-

voir releases; all other conditions remaining exactly as stated for the

cther studies.

In the studies numbered 1. 2. 3 and 4. it was assumed that the

initial capacity of the irriGation pool was 420.000 acre-feet. Studios

2A and 4A use the exact assumptions of studies 2 and 4 respectively, ex-

cept that initial capacity of the irrigation reservoir was taken as

105.800 acre-feet. This is the .capacity, at Elevation 3815. as deter-

mined by the Corps of En~ineers in October 1944. Progressive siltation

vms accounted for in all studies.

TABLE I

HISTORICAL REIJ~IONS
Period..1-9.?5=i:9I;l7
Uliits-lOOO AF

WD1TER
Oct-Uar

SU' ..illER
Apr-Sep

181.2
11l~.4
66.8
70.4
137.2
68.3
68.9

65.9

7/.3

1.
