<br />Problems and Needs
<br />
<br />Sixteen sa~ine water sources, as identified in table 1, were evaluated
<br />in the study in various collection configurations for local use or
<br />export. T~e source sites are located on the frontispiece map. The
<br />total water volume considered as potential sources for use or disposal is
<br />610,000 acre-feet of saline water averaging about 3,200 milligrams per
<br />liter (mg/~) of TDS (total dissolved solids) and carries 2.6 million tons
<br />of salt per year.
