S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY IN CONNECTION WITH <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE COSTILLA CREEK COMPACT <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />WORK PERFORMED DURING CALENDAR YEAR 1968 <br /> <br />The Water Resources Division of the Geological Survey <br />continuec the operation of 15 gaging stations in the Costilla <br />Valley for use in the administration of the Costilla Creek Compact. <br />O~e oi thes'a stations is in Colorado; the remaining are in New Mexico. <br />Elevation of Costilla Reservoir was also read at each visit. Daily <br />discharge records were furnished the various parties involved on <br />Mar. 17, 1969, on a seasonal or annual basis as required. Acequia Madre at Costilla <br />8. Cordillera Ditch at Garcia <br />9. Cerro Canal at Costilla <br />10. Cerro Canal near Jaroso <br />11. N. Mex. branch Cerro Canal near Jaroso <br />12. Costilla Creek below diversion dam <br />13. Costilla Creek at Gar~ia <br />i4. Eastdale No.1 intake canal near Jaroso <br /> <br />Interstate Stream Commission and State Engineer <br />of New Mexico station: <br /> <br />1. Association ditch at Costilla <br /> <br />During the year the Costilla Watermastcr, Mr. Jack Yaple, <br />made 34 discharge measurements as a result or the IlIilatching serVices" <br />provision of the cooperative agreement. This compares with 91 <br />discharge measurements made during 1967 and 110 durin~ 1966. <br />
